Have you ever been to a restaurant that made you a raving fan because of your experience with them. Did you want to tell everyone about how pleased you were??? Well that’s exactly how we felt about Michael and our project of developing a new website for Apple Discount Drugs. Michael was creative, patient, and listened to what we were looking for. He developed a site and then trained our staff to enable us to keep the site dynamic. The collaboration of ideas and concepts were then put to the task of creating a website that we are proud of. Kudo’s to Michael and his team!!!

The Need:

Apple Discount Drugs needed a website that would be easy to maintain by staff and allow Apple Discount Drugs to have the professional online presence that matched their reputation, easily inform users about services, and display a listing of current products they offer. The identified needs included:

  • Website with fully featured Content Management System (CMS) to easily:
    • add / edit pages
    • calendar of upcoming diabetes events
    • add /edit press releases
    • edit content
    • customized product catalog
    • allow staff to maintain all appropriate website content

…and all through a web based system that was easy to use and scalable to grow.

The Solution:

  • Two Rider Design:
    • Provided the graphical layout to build a customized theme
  • Spotlight Web Design: We took Two Rider Design’s graphic layout and hand coded a customized WordPress as a content management solution (CMS) to allow staff at the Apple Discount Drugs to perform all of the tasks identified in the needs above.

As part of our on-going mission to provide the best possible user experience, this site was designed as responsive web design (RWD), using HTML5 and CSS3. This means that users will have the appropriate experience while using the site regardless of using the site on a PC, Mac, or a mobile device. Website layout changes based on device and is designed to maximize the end user experience.
